A mere 40 minutes drive north of Wellington, Cottage 103 at Sudbury is a country dream.

You can kick off your shoes and relax in your haven, well-appointed with Egyptian Cotton sheets, a fully equipped kitchen and classic furniture.

Cottage 103 is on a sustainability journey, and we are very proud to have achieved a SILVER Sustainable Tourism Business Award with QualMark. Our accommodation prioritises practices that minimise their impact on the environment. We implement measures to conserve energy (double glazing, LED lights, lights on timers, well insulated), reduce water consumption (septic tank waters trees), manage waste responsibly (composting and recycling) and protect local ecosystems (minimal chemical cleaning products/biodegradable rubbish bags). Can I bring pets to Cottage 103?

We’re unable to accommodate pets on our property or at Cottage 103.

Do I have to bring linen or towels?

All linen and towels are provided for you during your stay.

Will I have sole access to the property?

You’ll have sole access to the cottage and gardens surrounding it. We do hold events on the main property, but this is not close to cottage 103.

Is the cottage child-friendly?

Yes, it is, but please bring your own high chair and cot.

Do you have wi-fi in the cottage?

Yes, we do.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your booking with the final amount payable 14 days prior to your arrival. There will be no refund for cancellations made after that point

Donkey Sanctuary

Since 2004, we have provided a sanctuary for rescue donkeys.

Our first donkey, Honty, is now 20 and has been an integral part of the Impact Leadership programmes where we use horses to help people become better leaders. He has since retired and in 2020 we rescued two more elderly donkeys, Daisy & Millie.

Daisy died a peaceful death in 2022 leaving Honty and Millie, who have now become firm friends. They sometimes graze in the paddock next to the Cottage, so that visitors can say hello, and give them a carrot.
